We moved to Hattieville, AR in 2021 and we love it here. Our Farm consists of 5 acres with four dogs, countless chickens, turkeys, goats, four pigs, ducks, two cats and our Family. We have been hobby beekeeping since 2014 and have decided to expand. Due to our expansion the main effort of our apiary will be to produce more colonies. Because of this we will not have any real harvest until the summer of 2023. We also started a small dairy goat operation with plans to have milk and various other products in 2023. Beginning this summer (2022) we will have limited whole frozen chickens and turkeys for sale and fresh turkeys available for pickup just days before Thanksgiving. Currently these projects are a hobby with hopes of becoming something more, time will tell. Make sure you check back frequently to see what we have to offer and sign up for the newsletter to get updates on new products coming out. Thanks for stopping by!
Back in July we decided to get solar panels for the farm house. Mostly just to lower our energy bill, it makes financial since for us over the long haul. As of our October 2022 bill Entergy owes us electricity. This means that the processing and refrigeration of our Poultry operation is very carbon friendly. We have also set up a composting facility in the back of the property to deal with all of the poultry processing waste. So far we are very pleased with the composting, I will have more updates on that next year.
If you are interested in Solar drop me a line. I can get you $25 for scheduling an in home consultation.
Thanks for checking us out. Be sure to go to the poultry page and order some chicken or hurry and get one of the remaining Thanksgiving Turkeys!
